The low-threshold workshop explores the potential of physical theater. By approaching movement through your own body as well as collectively. The workshop explores bodily compositions, space, rhythm, dynamics, and nonverbal storytelling through improvisation. In safe place, each participant has the opportunity to explore the movement and try something new.
The purpose of the workshop is to diversify the perception of movement, to throw yourself and free the imagination to use the body, and to enjoy the play that emerges in an instant together.
Workshop leader Katimari “Kassu” Niskala graduated from Jacques Lecoq’s School of Physical Theater in Paris. Katimari is particularly interested in the intersections of art forms, abstract expression, and bodily compositions as space design.
