Nevala

Nevala on neljän entisen kämppäkaverin, Oliver Bentleyn, Emil Inbergin, Sakari Soukan ja Ossian Stadighin muodostama helsinkiläinen bändi, jonka musiikissa jäsenten syvä ystävyys kuuluu ja nivoutuu hedelmällisellä tavalla yhteen ajattoman laulunkirjoitustaidon ja pop-nerouden kanssa.

’Take Me to the Honky Tonk’ on soft rock -yhtyeen toinen albumi. Monet albumin kappaleista käsittelevät vapautumisen ja hullaantumisen teemoja, tapahtuvat ne sitten henkisesti, musiikillisesti tai Honky Tonk -biisin halvassa yökerhossa. Levy on äänitetty pienessä hirsimökissä Väinö Karjalaisen johdolla. Lauluja on kirjoitettu myös pienellä Styrsön saarella Göteborgin edustalla.

Yhtyeen tarina sai alkunsa, kun kaverukset järjestivät valtavat kotibileet. He esiintyivät juhlissa bändinä, jossa jokainen sai laulaa yhden biisin. Tovin mietittyään nelikko tajusi, että heidän oli pakko perustaa neljän laulajan ja lauluntekijän yhtye, jossa kaikki saavat yhteisrintamassa olla eturivissä.

Nevalan neljää muusikkoa säestää bändi, jossa soittavat Riku Sonkkanen, Kalle Outila ja Adeola Ikuesan.

VNI.RV

Based in Tampere, a multidisciplinary audiovisual artist, producer, and DJ vni.rv curates ensembles blending airy elements with darker tribal tones. Her sets often balance between groovy and playful tones combined with intense rhythms. Due to her peculiar versatility and diverse selection, vni.rv is a powerhouse on the Finnish underground scene, and actively performs in various cities, event concepts and venues, including festivals and clubs all-around.

Kehro

”Satanistic Psychedelic Folk from Finland”. Näin luonnehtii tuottaja Samuli Laiho Kehron musiikin syvintä olemusta. Pekka Laineen levyarvio Soundissa on maanläheisempi: ”Virallisen selityksen mukaan Kehro on pieni kyläpahanen ilman kirkkoa. Rauhallisen pinnan alla paikka tihkuu maailmallista menoa ja rytmin juhlaa.”

Kun Brian Eno uudisti 1970-luvulla tavaratalo- ja hissimusiikkia julkaisemalla musiikkia lentokentille, Kehro tekee 2000-luvulla samaa luonnon helmassa, puutarhajuhlissa, olohuoneissa, hämyisissä kapakoissa ja uneliaissa aulatiloissa. Enon ambientit äänikollaasit ovat kypsyneet piilomelodioita viliseväksi folk-, latino- ja afroloungeksi.

Kehron juuret ovat Urjalassa, bändin nimikin on napattu vain parinkymmenen kilometrin päästä festivaalialueesta.

Nykyisin umpihelsinkiläinen Kehro on toiminut vuodesta 1982 asti ja julkaissut kolme albumia (Urdiala 2019, Jalousie 2021 ja Hamlet 2022). Neljäskin (Oinas 2025) ehtii ehkä ilmestyä juuri ennen Mitäksiä. Pääset joka tapauksessa kuulemaan livenä maistiaisia myös uudelta levyltä.

DJ konsT doesn’t want to classify with any specific music genre but rather keeps his main focus always somewhat related to the groove. An artist of many places and themes who djs for the love of rhytmic sounds. It’s konsTant, it’s fun and it’s highly dancable.

Mary Young

MARY YOUNG is a DJ and visual artist from Helsinki who’s been making waves with her love for bass-heavy, UK-centric sounds. The driving force behind popular UK bass collective London Zoo, Mary also finds the time to host her own monthly Head High radio show on IDA Helsinki.

During the past year Mary has performed at festivals such as Flow, Visio and Pyhä Aisti, as well as many of Helsinki’s most iconic venues including Post Bar, Ääniwalli and Kaiku. Her expertly crafted sets are renowned for their diversity and skillful execution — each one tailored to the atmosphere of the evening and the venue.

Roope

Roope is a Helsinkean DJ & producer behind such projects as Mirage Man, Kaltstam & ER. He runs Friendship & Decadence together with his pals, which is a record label that releases various styles of electronic music. His DJ sets contain danger, excitement and romance.

Mihut

Mihut is hailing from Romania, a country known for its rich musical heritage. Hisjourney in Helsinki began in 2015, starting at Bassoradio and nowadays onRadio Helsinki. He founded The Sound Collective, a record label, bringingHelsinki and Bucharest musically closer together.Whether Mihut is spinning records, producing music, or interacting with thecrowd, his infectious energy and love for his craft shine through, always presentat events in Finland and Romania, playing from big stages to small intimategigs. Heis well known for his record selection, influenced by his nativeRomanian sound, playing from downtempo jazzy sets in small venues to groovyuplifting sets, the bond between new and old, minimal house, techno or deephouse.

Olmi

A child of Tampere and now active in Helsinki, Olmi likes to dive in deep and groovy waters. The underground is their favourite haven but they’ve been swimming in various club settings around Finland as well. Olmi’s home base is in house music, but they tend to explore moods rather than genres. Interesting beats and fun basslines make Olmi smile.

Pedro MacLoughlin

There is a lot of techno, house, and some other strange music, electronic jazz, funk, electro, and weird technologies, a blend of classic DJing and sound-performance art from the early minimalism and electronic music scene.
Often pretty danceable, sometimes a bit crazy, usually music that the audience hasn’t heard or that doesn’t exist before the performance.
Always, the exciting feeling of pushing forward into the unknown.

Pedro MacLoughlin, originally from Argentina, and based in Finland, is a DJ and sound artist who has been working with music for more than half their life and mixes influences from various decades into a sonic journey.

Dj Sebu

Varjo stage promoter and stage manager will be behind the decks to celebrate 10 years of Mitäs Mitäs Mitäs, of which he has been a part of for 5 years in a row. Familiar face as an organizer and an artist in Helsinki, Tampere and Turku underground parties, as well as other events, clubs and bars. He is also present at the Kolina Helsinki event and Kosmos festival, but is best known as the founder of the Cozy Night Inn concept in Helsinki.

Having started DJing in February 2020, Sebu likes to play various genres depending on the surroundings and events. He simply loves music overall. Berlin techno is closest to his heart, but not wanting to get caught in only one genre, he listens to peoples’ wishes regarding the sound.
