There is a lot of techno, house, and some other strange music, electronic jazz, funk, electro, and weird technologies, a blend of classic DJing and sound-performance art from the early minimalism and electronic music scene. Often pretty danceable, sometimes a bit crazy, usually music that the audience hasn’t heard or that doesn’t exist before the performance. Always, the exciting feeling of pushing forward into the unknown.
Pedro MacLoughlin, originally from Argentina, and based in Finland, is a DJ and sound artist who has been working with music for more than half their life and mixes influences from various decades into a sonic journey.

Hänen pitkään uraansa mahtuu yli sata ulkomaan keikkaa ja satoja lisää kotosuomessa. Pavel kuvailee omaa musiikkiaan kotikutoiseksi turboahdetuksi funkiksi ghettotranseksi. Pavelin omintakeinen saundi on yhdistelmä ultragrooveja bassolinjoja ja eeppisiä harmonioita, ottaen vaikutteita monista muista genreistä, pitkälle genrarajojen yli. Svimban toinen pitkäänodotettu täyspitkä “Owl Nebula” ilmestyi Marraskuussa 2024.
Scum Unit is a two member electronic dancemusic group. They have been pushing themselves and the dancefloor to the limits with their straightforward party trance and trippy bassgrooves since 2007.
MARY YOUNG is a DJ and visual artist from Helsinki who’s been making waves with her love for bass-heavy, UK-centric sounds. The driving force behind popular UK bass collective London Zoo, Mary also finds the time to host her own monthly Head High radio show on IDA Helsinki.
During the past year Mary has performed at festivals such as Flow, Visio and Pyhä Aisti, as well as many of Helsinki’s most iconic venues including Post Bar, Ääniwalli and Kaiku. Her expertly crafted sets are renowned for their diversity and skillful execution — each one tailored to the atmosphere of the evening and the venue.
Roope is a Helsinkean DJ & producer behind such projects as Mirage Man, Kaltstam & ER. He runs Friendship & Decadence together with his pals, which is a record label that releases various styles of electronic music. His DJ sets contain danger, excitement and romance.
Mihut is hailing from Romania, a country known for its rich musical heritage. Hisjourney in Helsinki began in 2015, starting at Bassoradio and nowadays onRadio Helsinki. He founded The Sound Collective, a record label, bringingHelsinki and Bucharest musically closer together.Whether Mihut is spinning records, producing music, or interacting with thecrowd, his infectious energy and love for his craft shine through, always presentat events in Finland and Romania, playing from big stages to small intimategigs. Heis well known for his record selection, influenced by his nativeRomanian sound, playing from downtempo jazzy sets in small venues to groovyuplifting sets, the bond between new and old, minimal house, techno or deephouse.
A child of Tampere and now active in Helsinki, Olmi likes to dive in deep and groovy waters. The underground is their favourite haven but they’ve been swimming in various club settings around Finland as well. Olmi’s home base is in house music, but they tend to explore moods rather than genres. Interesting beats and fun basslines make Olmi smile.
Jere Häkkinen aka Luomuhappo, was born in 1982 into a very non-musical family. His father was a bass player in a Christian rock band because “the leader of our band was somewhat religious… and well… to be honest, there wasn’t much to do in that town except for the youth services of the congregation.” And why bass? Maybe the other guy was better at playing guitar, and the band needed a bass player. You know the story – you’ve heard it in some form or another. If not – welcome to adult life. Sometimes it do be like that. You can extrapolate a lot from that and just accept reality as it is. Or not. But reality still keeps going. Anyway, lots of dads played music. They might not be the coolest dudes by modern standards, but you know what? They fucking procreated. Most probably with your mom. Extrapolate from that.
Modem is a Helsinki-based synth pop duo formed by Tytti Roto and Ville Valavuo in 2020. Having paid their dues in the Finnish punk and indie underground, the duo set out to create electronic pop music and channel their love for the synthetic sounds of the 1980s. In the past couple years Modem have been touring actively in the Finnish club scene, played some of Finland’s biggest festivals such as Flow Festival, Sideways and Ruisrock, and toured in Central Europe and Scandinavia.
Following the DIY ethos of the punk scene, the band has been very self-sufficient in recording, mixing and artwork, and released everything through their own label Modem Age Records. Modem’s highly acclaimed debut album Megalomania was released in April 2024, and since then the album has been licensed to North and South America, Australia, Japan and Southeast Asia. They are currently booking shows for 2025 and working on a new album, which is expected to be out in 2025.
Cleaning Women on ainutlaatuinen itsetehdyillä soittimilla operoiva kulttiyhtye, joka muodostuu kolmesta siivoojarobotista (CW01, CW03, CW04). Yhtye on toiminut samalla kokooonpanolla jo yli 25 vuoden vuoden ajan, jona aikana se on hämmästyttänyt yleisöä ympäri Tellusta yli 600:n keikan verran soittaen ainakin 25:ssä maassa. Cleaning Women on julkaisemassa uutta musiikkia vuonna 2025.
Yhtye on tehnyt neljä albumia, 3D-varjovisuaalikeikkoja ja muita erikoisprojekteja, elokuvamusiikkia ja lukuisia kehuttuja mykkäelokuvasäestyksiä, joita se on esittänyt livenä mm. Bolognan vanhan kaupungin keskustorilla, Paradisossa Amsterdamissa ja Telluriden elokuvajuhlilla Coloradossa Yhdysvalloissa. Viimeisin hyppy elokuvamusiikin puolelle oli yhtyeen tekemä alkuperäismusiikki italialaisen Alice Rohrwacherin 38-minuuttiseen lyhytelokuvaan The Pupils, joka valittiin lyhytelokuvakategorian Oscar-ehdokkaaksi 2023. Omaperäisen musiikin lisäksi Cleaning Women on tunnettu myös vaihtoehtoisista instrumenttivalinnoistaan.
Yhtyeen soundin peruspalikkoina toimivat itserakennetut instrumentit ja kotitalouksista tutut esineet, joita on modifioitu musiikillisiin tarpeisiin. Materiaali on usein peräisin roskalavoilta tai pelastettu päätymästä sinne. Vuosien saatossa yhtyeen instrumenttiperhe on laajentunut, sisältäen alkuperäisen mikitetyn pyykinkuivaustelineen lisäksi lukuisia erilaisia kieli- ja rytmisoittimia.
Vaikka lähtökohta on avantgardistinen ja kokeellinen, lopputulos on yhdistelmä taidokasta soittimenhallintaa, uniikkeja äänimaisemia ja melodista sekä rytmillisesti rikasta musiikkia, jota voisi kuvailla vaikkapa yhdistelmänä elokuvallista sci-fi länkkäriä ja kipinöivää roskalavadiskoa. Yhdessä yhtyeen yhtenäisen tummanpuhuvan ulkoasun ja muun visuaalisuuden kanssa kokonaisuus välittyy tehokkaimmin nimenomaan keikalla.
