Nokkos – 10 Years of Underground
For the past decade, Nokkos has been a relentless force in the underground electronic music scene, pushing the boundaries between techno, drum n bass, triphop and psychedelic sounds. What started as a fateful encounter with a DJ deep in the Carpathian forests at age 13 set the foundation for a lifelong journey into the world of dance music. Since 2015, Nokkos has been DJing across Europe, collecting music physically while traveling, and curating sets that blend the old, fresh and forward-thinking sounds.
Known for a sound that moves effortlessly between hypnotic, dark techno and energetic psychedelic beats, Nokkos has performed at festivals like Lost Theory, MitäsMitäsMitäs, Kosmos, and Psÿdja, as well as countless underground raves and events. Their sets are crafted from a decade of deep exploration into underground scenes, resulting in a collection of fast, dynamic, and immersive dance music.
Beyond DJing, Nokkos started professional glassblower journey in Nuutajärvi, now known internationally and also a character in event visual design at NeoElement RY and lightworks assistant/artist in events like Kolina, Kosmos, Pulse 999 and Avaruusseikkailu. Their creative vision extends from sound to spectacle, shaping the atmosphere of events through both music and art. Recent large-scale decoration projects include the visual setups for Malmin Tapahtumakesä and the iconic hilltop stage at Mitäs Mitäs Mitäs Festival.
Nokkos has also been part of Taikametsä and Myskimayhem as a stagebuilder, is a part of Näästek, and founder of Matalasaundi.
As they step into their tenth year celebration together with Mitäs Mitäs Mitäs Festival as a audiovisual artist, Nokkos continues to evolve, producing music while staying true to the underground roots that shaped their journey. The last decade has been a ride—but the best is yet to come
